Nanas use humor and communal story telling to explore gender,
class and privilege through the stories of four immigrant women.
Santa, Aurora, Leonor and Maria Angelica toil as domestic
workers in Chile where the story takes place.
Nanas explore these women’s harsh realities though a chorus of voices
and humor which intertwined with fiction creates a common narrative
through the women’s language. This play travels through time and space until
the very end, where it meets the audience to make it feel part of a
meaningful and intimate encounter. The audiences bear witness to
the journey of these powerful and inspiring women.
