Friday, June 24 at 8pm
"Unavailable", written and performed by Yadira De La Riva, is a solo piece that explores
the effects of trauma and silence within a Mexican family; "Fru Mary", by Berioska Ipinza,
is an exploration at the childhood experience of two siblings and how their imagination
plays a vital role in dealing with their mother‘s abandonment; and "Reunion,"
by Pietro González, a work in progress that delves into the lives of families
separated for long periods of time and the obstacles they face as they try to relate
to each other after decades of separation.
Saturday, June 25 at 8pm
"Los Colonos del Caudillo/Franco‘s Settlers" (2013), an award-winning documentary
about a small village that keeps paying tribute to its creator, Spain‘s dictator Francisco Franco.
"Los Colonos del Caudillo/Franco‘s Settlers" makes an entire country to look at itself in the mirror.
The film was produced by Playloud Production and co-directed by Lucía Palacios and Dietmar Post.
